How to Save & Manage Contact Form 7 Submissions with CF7 Mate

Store every Contact Form 7 submission directly in your WordPress database — then view, search, filter, and export entries without needing a separate plugin.

What It Does

Form Entries automatically saves every submission your CF7 forms receive to your WordPress database. From the CF7 Mate Entries screen you can browse all submissions, filter by form or date, open individual entries, manage their status, and export everything to CSV whenever you need it.

Best for: any site that needs a record of form submissions — contact requests, bookings, applications, quote requests, or survey responses.

Requirements

  • Contact Form 7 with at least one active form
  • CF7 Mate Pro with the Form Entries module enabled

How to Set It Up

1. Enable the Module: Go to CF7 Mate → Modules and enable Form Entries (Database Entries). Once active, all new submissions will be saved automatically — no extra configuration needed.

2. View Your Entries: Go to CF7 Mate → Entries to see all saved submissions. Open any entry to view the full details of every field that was submitted.

3. Manage Entries: From the Entries screen, you can:

  • Filter submissions by form, date, or status
  • Mark entries as read or spam
  • Delete entries individually or in bulk
  • Export all or filtered entries to a CSV file

4. Quick Access : CF7 Mate can add an Entries link directly under each form inside Contact Form 7, giving you one-click access to that form’s submissions without navigating away.

Tips

  • Entries are stored as a custom post type in WordPress — only administrators can access the Entries screen by default.
  • Use the CSV export to pull submission data into Excel, Google Sheets, or your CRM.
  • Combine with Webhooks (Pro) to both save entries locally and send them to an external tool like Zapier or Make simultaneously.
  • Regularly review and clean up old or spam entries to keep your database tidy.
