Get Started with CF7 Mate Pro

Everything you need to install, activate, and start using CF7 Mate Pro on your WordPress site.

Before You Begin

Make sure the following are installed and active:

  • WordPress 5.8 or higher
  • Contact Form 7 — installed and active with at least one form created
  • Your page builder — Divi, Elementor, Bricks, or Gutenberg (whichever you use)

Step 1 — Download CF7 Mate Pro

  1. After purchasing, you will receive an email from Freemius with your download link.
  2. Log in to your Freemius account and go to your purchases.
  3. Download the CF7 Mate Pro .zip file.

Step 2 — Install CF7 Mate Pro

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  2. Choose the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate Plugin.

Step 3 — Activate Your License

  1. Go to CF7 Mate → License in your WordPress admin.
  2. Paste your license key — found in your Freemius account under your purchases.
  3. Click Activate License.

Once activated, all Pro features will be unlocked immediately.

Step 4 — Enable the Modules You Need

CF7 Mate uses a modular system — you only enable the features you want.

  1. Go to CF7 Mate → Modules.
  2. Toggle on the features you need — for example, Multi-Step Forms, Entries, Conditional Logic, or the AI Form Generator.
  3. Save your settings.

Step 5 — Add a Form to Your Page

  1. Open any page in your builder (Divi, Elementor, Bricks, or Gutenberg).
  2. Add the CF7 Mate module or widget to your page.
  3. Select your Contact Form 7 form from the dropdown.
  4. Use the Design tab to style the form to match your site.
  5. Save and preview the page.

What to Set Up Next

Once your first form is live, here are the most popular next steps:

  • Save submissions — Enable Form Entries to store every submission in your WordPress database.
  • Multi-step forms — Enable Multi-Step Forms and split long forms into focused steps.
  • AI form generation — Go to CF7 Mate → AI Provider, add your API key, and generate forms from a plain-English description.
  • Send data externally — Enable Webhooks to push submissions to Zapier, Make, or your CRM automatically.
  • Apply a design preset — Open the module Design tab and apply a one-click preset (sky, modern, dark, classic) as a starting point.
