Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information PlugPress collects when you visit cf7mate.com or use the CF7 Mate plugin, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Who We Are
CF7 Mate is a product of PlugPress (“we,” “us,” or “our”), an independent WordPress plugin company. This Privacy Policy covers the website cf7mate.com and both editions of the CF7 Mate plugin:
Lite — the free version, distributed via the WordPress.org Plugin Repository.
Pro — the paid version, distributed and licensed via Freemius.

2. What Information We Collect and Why
A. Information you provide directly
When you purchase CF7 Mate Pro, you submit personal details — such as your name and email address — through the Freemius checkout. This data is processed and stored by Freemius on our behalf and is used to manage your license, deliver purchase receipts, send renewal reminders, and provide customer support. When you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you include in your message and use it solely to respond to your enquiry.
B. Website analytics (cf7mate.com)
We use DataFa.st, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics platform, to understand how visitors interact with cf7mate.com. DataFa.st does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. The aggregated, anonymised data we receive includes metrics such as page views, referral sources, approximate geographic region (country level only), device type, and browser type. This data is used exclusively to improve website performance and user experience.
C. Plugin diagnostics — Freemius SDK (opt-in only)
Both the Lite and Pro editions of CF7 Mate include the Freemius SDK. The purpose and behaviour of the SDK differs by edition:
Lite (WordPress.org): The Freemius SDK is included in the Lite plugin solely to enable optional, anonymised diagnostic data collection. When you first activate the Lite plugin, you will be shown a clear opt-in prompt in your WordPress dashboard asking whether you agree to share non-sensitive environment data. If you do not opt in, no data is collected or transmitted — ever. The Freemius SDK is not used for payment or licensing in the Lite version.
What the opt-in collects (Lite & Pro): Basic WordPress environment information such as your PHP version, WordPress version, active theme name, and approximate plugin count. No personally identifiable information, no form data, no website content, and no visitor data from your website is ever collected.
Pro: In addition to the same optional diagnostics described above, the Freemius SDK in the Pro version also handles license activation, validation, and updates. These functions require your license key and email address to be shared with Freemius, which acts as the data processor. Please review the Freemius Privacy Policy for full details.
In all cases, you may revoke your diagnostics opt-in at any time from WP Admin → CF7 Mate → Account (or the equivalent Freemius account menu in your dashboard).

4. Cookies and Tracking
We do not place any cookies of our own on cf7mate.com. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioural profiling tools. DataFa.st is cookieless by design and places no cookies on your device. The Freemius checkout may use strictly necessary session cookies during the purchase flow; these are temporary, functional, and governed by the Freemius Privacy Policy. The CF7 Mate plugin itself sets no cookies on your website or your visitors’ browsers.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Freemius — processes Pro purchase data and, where opted in, plugin diagnostic data on our behalf. Freemius acts as a data processor under our instruction.
DataFa.st — receives anonymised, aggregate website analytics data only. No personal data is transmitted.
Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal request from a competent authority.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data (name and email address held by Freemius) for as long as your account or license remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to handle support queries, refund requests, or legal obligations. If you request deletion of your data, we will act promptly, subject to any retention requirements imposed by applicable law. Diagnostic data collected via the Freemius SDK opt-in is retained by Freemius in accordance with their privacy policy.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access or disclosure. Payment and billing details are handled entirely by Freemius, which employs industry-standard encryption and security practices. We do not store credit card or payment details on our own systems.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw a previously given consent (such as the Freemius diagnostics opt-in); and lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority in your country.

9. International Data Transfers
PlugPress is based in Asia. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data transfer restrictions, please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. Where such transfers occur through Freemius, they are subject to Freemius’s own transfer mechanisms and safeguards as described in their privacy policy.
10. Children’s Privacy
CF7 Mate and cf7mate.com are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently before sharing any personal information with them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
